I sold my daily driver beater to a neighbor that needed it more than I do. I'm in no need but might pick up the right vehicle at the right price (<2000) if it's interesting enough. Really I need just a small gas sipper to do my daily 25 mile commute. But I've found some absurd vehicles on CL that tempt me, like this 87 Buick Hearse that looks immaculate and only asking 2 grand. I've also ran across an old ambulance, not practical, but interesting enough to get my attention. So my question, what is the most ridiculous daily driver you could get away with driving?

These aren't really ridiculous, but here goes. I'd say if gas mileage desired an older Corolla or Geo, 5 speed because, manual. Not anything especially interesting, but it will get the job done, and wont be that unreliable. A Taurus Sho from the 90's seems slightly less dull. Or you could drive one of those God awful street legal golf carts....

Old ambulance is not practical? Hit the lights and siren and it will be!

I'm always interested in old Shos, but they're usually totally torched out now

I can't think of a single reason not to buy one

I think I need to find a police interceptor. I've always wanted one, but never had one. It's time.

That dead guy mover (don't know the English word and too drink to look for it) looks awesome...
PS: how awesome my wife is? She is happy as hell being with me on my tablet while she watches the big bang theory and finds it to be the"best night ever"... How cool is that huh?
re-PS: I cooked muscle mussels though :)

Ugh, it has to be something safe with a back seat and 30ish MPG. Can't stand getting less than that on my commute anymore, I hate having to fill up more than once a week.
Not much goofy stuff out there that meets those criteria.

For opponauts, a four door automatic Saturn SL2. Take everything you love about the Miata - the reliable motor, the awesome rear-wheel drive handling, the smooth shifting transmission, top down on a nice day, etc. and then replace it with the cheapest parts GM could find.

I've always wanted a hearse. I think it would be so fucking badass to get like an old caddy, jam a built 454 in there. Drop it on airbags over some wire rims.

Ha! I actually looked at an L200 wagon with 600,000 miles today.

Look out for hop-ons (You'll get some hop-ons). Also banners and parking garages.

Buy a Mitsubishi Expo and remove the "expo" and put the correct "Space Wagon" on the back. I even learned to drive on a manual one .

It's both grand, and a marquis. You can't go wrong

I'm not suggesting you should, but you certainly could.
I don't think you lot get the option, but for me the most ridiculous cheap car is one I quite want - the Fiat Multipla.

Well both of those certainly are ridiculous
